Mixed Media on Canvas.When I painted this piece, I was exploring the tension between stillness and emotion—the quiet moments in life where something shifts internally, even if nothing moves outwardly. Each brushstroke was a response to a feeling rather than a thought. The earthy tones grounded me; they felt safe, familiar, like the comfort of a well-worn path. But then came that burst of pink – bold and unapologetic. It felt like a sudden joy or a brave thought breaking through the calm. It became the heart of the painting, a reminder that even in quietude, there’s energy, hope, even defiance.

This work is about finding beauty in contrasts: soft and bold, calm and stirred, grounded and spontaneous. It’s a visual diary of a moment where I felt held and free at the same time.
